Espresso Machine FAQs
What’s the difference between the Button Control
and Touch Control espresso machines?
Both models make espresso, double espresso, and Americano. The Button Control model (80002KCM1) uses a steam tube for manual milk frothing. The Touch Control model (80001KCM0) adds automatic latte, cappuccino, and milk foam options with a connected milk reservoir.
Do I need a separate coffee grinder?
No. This automatic espresso machine has a built-in grinder with 15 settings, from fine to coarse. The manual recommends starting above setting 8 and adjusting one setting at a time.
Can I adjust the coffee strength and serving size?
Yes. Both models let you adjust the coffee dose and volume to suit your taste. The Touch Control model also offers milk foam amount settings. Select your preferred settings before starting the drink.
What should I check if the automatic milk frother
is not working properly?
On the Touch Control model, check that the milk tube is firmly connected and the milk frother is correctly installed and clean. The manual recommends cold milk at 41–50°F (5–10°C), with at least 3% protein.
Does the self-cleaning function replace
manual cleaning?
No. Self-cleaning rinses internal channels, but removable parts still need regular cleaning. Empty the drip tray daily and clean parts that contact milk after each use. Wash removable parts by hand; they are not dishwasher safe.
Why does water come out when I turn
the espresso machine on?
The machine automatically rinses the coffee pipeline during startup. This is part of its normal cleaning process. Keep the drip tray installed to collect rinse water and empty it regularly.
